Ever since I was little, I have enjoyed baking. When I was about 10, my mom trusted me enough to follow directions without her guidance. She left me alone to experiment with a box of brownie mix. I can still hear her scream when she walked into the kitchen. Both of my arms were covered from hand to elbow in chocolate brownie mix. I can't even begin to imagine what was going through her head. She asked me what in the world I was doing, and I responded with the truth: "The box said to 'mix by hand!'"
I will never live that down.
This blog is going to be about food and my adventures in the kitchen. I'll introduce recipes that I've created, tweaked or used in no particular order. I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I have enjoyed making the food.
